Reconditioning is a process that aims to maximise your recovery and restore your independence after illness, injury or surgery. This can includes improving cardiovascular fitness and general strength, as well as increasing endurance and enhancing overall quality of life.

Who can benefit from this program?
Our Reconditioning Program is specifically tailored for individuals who are deconditioned and facing challenges with daily activities, mobility, or balance due to various reasons, including:
• Recent illness
• Debilitating injury
• Surgical or medical admission
• Limitations in activities of daily living
• Generalised weakness or reduced exercise capacity
Together, we will collaborate to enhance your capacity for daily activities, ensuring safe and independent mobility both at home and in the community.

How To access
Ask your GP, specialist or hospital (if you are an inpatient) for a referral to our program. Once we receive your referral, our team will promptly contact you to confirm any out-of-pocket costs and schedule your program start date.
Day Rehabilitation
Our day programs are designed for those living independently at home and seeking to improve their strength without the need for inpatient medical support. You can access our day programs either after an inpatient rehab admission or as required from the community.
Our day programs focus on improving your ability to complete activities of daily living and enhancing your overall quality of life. They typically involve 2-3 sessions per week, with each session involving 1-3 hours of exercise therapy based on your needs and goals.
Our day programs are suitable for those who:
- Have completed an inpatient rehab stay and require ongoing rehabilitation support as they transition back home/into the community
- Are focused on improving their fitness and mobility following an accident, injury or surgery
- Would benefit from the support and expertise of our allied health team in managing a chronic illness
Whether you choose to attend inpatient rehab or a day program, you will be cared for by our dedicated team, which may include:
